Chocolate Stout Chocolate chip french Toast!
WHo is this dude!?  Genious!  I don't know if i have the mind to attempt this yet, as i am just getting my mindset into GET FIT mode so this might have to wait till... i get fit! haha But until then the eyes shall feast! I love french toast and ever since trying Banana bread french toast i have been curious about other loafs to use in replacement of yukon toast! ha and other things to do with beer for that matter!

Chocolate Stout Chocolate Chip Bread Buttermilk French Toast

    Ingredients

1 loaf Chocolate Stout Chocolate Chip Bread

    1 cup buttermilk

    4 eggs

    1 tsp vanilla

    3 tbsp sugar

    pinch of salt

syrup or bananas or whipped cream ( or all 3)

    1. You want the bread to be somewhat dried out, this will allow the egg mixture to soak in. You can use “day old” bread, but I prefer to use the oven. Slice your bread and then place on a baking sheet and put in a 350 degree oven for 7-10 minutes. After 5 minutes, start check to see how dry it is. You want the outside of the bread to have a crunchy dry feel. When this is achieved, remove from the oven.

    2. in a large bowl combine the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, sugar, salt, and whisk until a nice creamy yellow color.

    3. place butter in a pan over medium high heat. Dip you sticks into the egg mixture, making sure all sides of the bread are coated. Places the bread into the pan. Cook each side until a nice golden brown.

    4. you can top the French Toast with syrup, or bananas or whipped cream Or you can use all 3! I prefer all 3.
